About the property...

Le Grand Capricia is a charming two-storey apartment for eight with four bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms. It also has a small spa area with a sauna and a whirlpool bath.

The entrance to Le Grand Capricia is on the garage floor, where you'll find a garage and a ski room. There's also a gym with a treadmill, weights bench and an exercise bike, so you can warm up before you head out onto the mountains.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and the homely, light-filled living area. Two sofas are positioned in front of the gas fire, perfect for cosy nights in, and there are glass doors on each side to the terrace and the balcony. The stylish kitchen has all the equipment you need to cater for your group, and there's a breakfast bar where you can grab a quick snack or keep the cook company. When dinner is ready, there's room for everyone to eat together at the dining table, which has bench seating and chairs.

This floor is also where you'll find the whirlpool bath and sauna, where you can relax after a busy day in the mountains.

The covered terrace on the west side of the chalet overlooks the village – it's a lovely place to have an early morning coffee and watch the world wake up. On warm evenings you can eat out here and watch the lights come on in the village as the sun goes down.

The first of the bedrooms is on this floor – this double room has an en-suite shower room and doors to a balcony. There's also a separate WC on this floor and a relaxing spa area with a whirlpool bath and a sauna.

Head upstairs to find the rest of the bedrooms, located under the eaves (please refer to the photos). The first bedroom has a double bed and storage under the eaves. It also has a shower and washbasin. There's another room with a double bed with a desk for remote working, and the final bedroom has two single beds and a desk. All of these rooms are tucked under the eaves so have limited headroom. There's also a shower room on this floor and a separate WC.

There's room to park one car (or two small cars) in the garage at Le Grand Capricia, and room for two other cars outside.

About the area...

La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.

In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing. Other summer activities include via ferrata, climbing and paragliding, leaving you with a wealth of memories to take home.
